Healthy Breakfasts for Busy Mornings

With the kids back in school and schedules full of activities, making healthy meals may seem impossible – especially breakfast during the week! However, we all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and with these healthy recipes that are easy to prep the day before or just take a few minutes in the morning, your kids will start their morning ready to take on the day.

The RealSweet® Veggie Omelet takes only 15 minutes to prep and less than 10 to cook. It’s vegetarian, gluten-free and low in sodium. Kids can even pick their favorite veggies to add. This recipe would also be great as a scramble for kids to eat in the car on the way to school.

Make-Ahead Freezable Breakfast Burritos are another great protein-packed option. You can make these weeks ahead and then simply microwave on high for 1-2 minutes when ready to eat. It doesn’t get much easier than this.

For another great make-ahead option, try Broccoli Cheddar Quiche Muffins from our friends at Produce for Kids®. They are portable and packable for breakfast or even lunch. This would be great with a cup of fresh fruit or yogurt.

Kids love waffles; let’s face it we all do. But, they are not the cleanest and most portable option with all of that gooey syrup. How about a savory option that packs cheese, bacon and RealSweet® sweet onions inside? You can even add other veggies like spinach, mushrooms or peppers.

Breakfast casseroles are another great prep-ahead option that can be made the night before or even frozen for use in a few weeks. This Farmer’s Market Overnight Breakfast Egg Casserole is loaded with veggies and is gluten-free.
